Join Zion Cemetery on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a family-friendly Centennial Celebration featuring food, refreshments, live entertainment, pet-friendly activities, self-guided tours, giveaways, and more.
Greendale, MO – Zion Cemetery invites the community to celebrate a significant milestone as the organization marks the 100th anniversary of its historic Visitor's Center building. The Centennial Celebration will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Zion's beautiful 49-acre campus in Greendale, Missouri.

The event commemorates a century of service, remembrance, and community connection while showcasing recent renovations to the Visitor's Center, including an expanded patio space designed to better serve families and visitors for generations to come.
Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon featuring complimentary food and refreshments, family-friendly entertainment, and opportunities to explore the cemetery grounds. Activities will include a bounce house, pet splash pads, a petting zoo, caricature artist, balloon artist, and a variety of giveaways throughout the day.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take self-guided tours of Zion's unique property, including its Pet Columbarium, native plant gardens, walking trails, and bee hives. Informational displays and staff members will be available to answer questions about
Zion's services for families and beloved pets, including traditional burial options, cremation memorialization, green burial, pet memorialization, and perpetual care.
"For 100 years, our Visitor's Center has welcomed generations of families during some of life's most meaningful moments," said CeCe McCoo, Executive Director of Zion Cemetery.
"This celebration is not only about honoring our history, but also sharing the ways Zion continues to evolve as a place of remembrance, reflection, education, and community."
